Wow. We can’t believe today is the final session of our Fstoppers series! And we have to say, it’s very bittersweet. We seriously can’t thank everyone enough for being a part of this amazing series. We’ve heard many great things about how these sessions have helped you all! And we have learned so much ourselves.
We started this series with Fstoppers co-founder, Lee Morris, and we conclude today with co-founder, Patrick Hall. In this session, we talk with Patrick about Building a Relationship-based Photography Business.
In addition to being a founder of Fstoppers.com, Patrick is a photographer based out of Charleston, SC. Patrick’s career in photography began after he graduated college and was applying to dental school. He had no plans of being a photographer at all, but through his retail job he met Lee Morris. Lee thought he would make a good assistant at his weddings and the rest was history. After dropping his aspirations of a career in the medical field, Patrick set off to follow his dream of becoming a full-time working photographer. Today Patrick runs his own successful wedding business and enjoys producing videos and photo shoots for Fstoppers.
IN THIS SESSION YOU’LL LEARN:
- If you want to grow your photography business build your ‘soft skills’ (be a better people person)
- Why running a successful photography business has little to do with photography
- Build your portfolio every single day: shoot for the gaps in your portfolio
